Tattoo healed?

Ive got a small tattoo and its just a line art, but ive had it for 2 weeks now and its not healed yet.. It's still all raised. Hmmm i dunno how to explain it, but it's not a scab anymore just kinda bumpy. Some people have said that their tattoo started flaking but that's never happened with mine. How much longer til its healed properly enough to go into the sun?

well the rule of thumb is not that you have to wait 30 days before going in the sun... you need to wait atleast until it is fully healed. usually that takes about 2 weeks. after that it is recommended to use a high spf sunblock on it everytime you go in the sun. it sounds more like your tattoo is scarred more than anything. it should not be raised and bumpy. is it itchy also? i was thinking an allergic reaction since you said it is bumpy but most people don't have reactions to just line work. i would go back to your artist and have them look at it... it being raised could mean they went to deep and scarred you. and not all people scab and peel.

Thanks for the feed back guys! God, i hope its not scarred! But since posting my question it has gone down alot. It's still kinda "embossed" but it's not as bad as before. Plus it's not itching anymore. But if it is an allergic reaction what must be done? Thnx! *^_^*
