Tragus piercings

Zombie_Girl - 2008-02-24 08:04:28 Uhr

I got both my tragus' pierced on Thursday night. The right side pierced pretty easy, with minimal amounts of pain or jewelry insertion complication. The left side however was the complete opposite. The piercer had a very hard time even getting the needle through. We took a video of that side, and you can actually see the piercer's hand shaking because he was pushing so hard. The ring went in easy enough on the left side after that, but the piercer couldn't get the ball in. He had to use cbr's because it was all he had at the time. I didn't have a problem with it, so I thought it wouldn't be a big deal. After about 20 mins, (yes it really took that long to get the last ball in) I was done and the piercer told me to just clean them with Dial antibacterial liquid handsoap. The next morning I woke up and noticed that there was a little bit of what looked dried blood around both of the piercings. I figured I had slept on them and just went and washed it off with a q-tip and some water. I later read that "crust" around new piercings is completely normal, and just a sign of the wound starting to heal, and pushing out old dead blood cells. The right side is pretty much painless now, but the left side bleeds every time I try to clean it, specifically when I try to rotate the jewelry around, (which, having 16g cbr's in, is extremely difficult. After they heal, I'll put in 18g most likely.) I don't have any of the Dial soap, so I had just been using the antibacterial wash that piercing boutiques in the mall give you when you get your lobes pierced or whatever. I also did a sea salt cleaning tonight, but I really had no way of measuring the amount of salt to water, so hopefully its not bad if you have more of one than another. Any ideas as to how to get the left side to stop bleeding?

it will stop eventually. for the sea salt solution - it's one - one and a half teaspoon in 250 ml water. the best thing you can do is soak the piercings in hot solution (not too hot though). you warm up some of the solution, soak a peace of cotton in it and place it at the piercing for 10-15 minutes max, then wash it with clean water. the warmth will suck out the lymph (or whatever it is spelled) and the blood if there is any. dont move the cbr too much, it will irritate the wound and will heal slower. i dont think you need any creams, antibiotics, gels and other @!#$ just normal vaseline, which would allow smoother movement (as i dont think it's possible not to touch it at all or keep it from clothes, hair etc..).. and the soap is ok to use only if it has 5.5 ph and no aromatic ingredience. the other way might lead to some allergic reaction, especially if you use it too often and dont worry, just maintain perfect hygiene and take care of the piercings and everything will be ok:P cartilage piercings, especially conch and for some people the tragus heal slowly, so be patient. by the way i think zinc tablets might be good for the healing, it might get better a bit faster:) of course vitamins would only do you good, esp. vit E. and dont drink too much for a few days, cause the problematic tragus might start to bleed... ok, i think that's all, i cant think of anything else...:P good luck
