Lip Advice

Ron4543 - 2007-12-15 17:00:00 Uhr

OK I already know what people are going to say but I figured I should ask anyway. On my way home the other day I pulled off and decided Iwas going to get a new tattoo. Well the shop I went to turns out the only do piercings. So I figured since I was there I'd get my lip done. Well turns out it was not such a good idea, as my job doesn't necessarily care if I'm in the office with it but when I travel out for work they do not want me to have it. It hasn't even been a week and i really wanna keep it but the guy said 4 months before I can take this thing out and put in the clear bar. Is there ANY way I can have a shop place in a clear bar wihtout a serious risk of infection? If I could get the clear bar in i would leave it for the 4 full months while continuing the cleaning process. I hope for some good news but I on't really expect it.

it only takes a month for it to heal but after 2 weeks you can change the ring. i dont know what the hell the piercer was talking about but as long as you keep it clean and dont change the ring alot it should be fine. thats what i did with both of my lip piercings. and so did my friends that i pierced. -casey

You should be fine after 2 weeks or so to change it to another piece of jewelry (or retainer in your case) as long as the swelling has gone down already and you aren't having any problems with it.

4 months!?.. A lip piercing heals in 4-6 weeks. Really hate this thing with "no piercings when working". I don't get it. Why is it so wrong? If you're a chef, then shore, cause it's bad hygien... well , back to your problem... I know you can change it after 4 weeks, if you feel that it's healed off course.
