I had my nipples pierced just over three months ago. I know that healing times can take up to six months, or even a year in some cases to heal.. but they still sometimes cause me a good deal of pain as well as a thick discharge. They will even do a little bleeding on some occasions, which really concerns me. How normal, if at all, is this? I clean them and keep them clean, and try to cause as little friction to clothing as possible. Is there anything that i can do to help them out??
(I clean them with the salt water mixture as well as soap. I've heard something about Emu Oil helping, but I don't know if there is any truth to this.)
Thanks for your help!!

I had both my nipples done years ago. My right one healed with on trouble. My left one gave me trouble up until about 6 months ago. They still crust up every now and then. No big deal. But my left one would actually hurt. I reduced the size of the ring to a 4g and now no problems. Just call your piercer if you are concerned. No idea on the Emu oil, never heard of it. You did good, the nipples are the best to get pierced. I hope you enjoy yours as much as my girl and I enjoy mine. ;)

I have had mine pierced for awhile, about 4 years now, and its still not completely healed and i doubt it will ever be, just because of getting pulled every now and then and stuff like that, but the discharge, mine did that too. never really had a whole lot of pain with them though other than when they got stuck on something. and actually i had my right one rip out (OWWWW!!!!!) and i might re-do it again tonight....(about a year later) but you should be fine. make sure you are using dial soft soap, its good for cleaning them. the salt soaks are good too. you may want to consider using H2Ocean though if you do i would run the can under hot water for awhile otherwise it shoots out real cold.... never heard of the emu oil though...

I am wondering if piercing my nipples will keep them erect (they are not normally). If not, do you have any suggestions? Thanks so much -

Hi ! I had my nipples done 2 months ago, I clean them with Baxedin (a steril soap), and I use Emu oil. It really does the job. They healed fast and Emu oil helps get them loose, and prevent them to stuck and hurt. I like the Emu oil. I wish you luck !
