tongue plug?

so.. i've seen pictures with stretched tongue piercings with a plug.. not a barbell.. is it some special longer "tongue plug" or a 13-14mm designed for an ear is suitable? my 4g barbell is 10mm long and is it possible for me to put a 13mm plug on my tongue when i stretch more..? i didnt get any responses to the other topic in the Piercing forum and it's been a few days.. i hope some one will answer at least this question..

If the plug is long enough to not put pressure on your tongue (compressed by the o-rings), it should be fine. Just don't use a porous plug (like wood), due to the high bacteria levels in the mouth.

There are actually pieces made specifically for the tongue. I believe you can get them at www.painfulpleasures.com . I am not sure how much they are, but they did offer them in various sizes and as custom orders.

umm thanks but i dont like online shopping much. i only shop from a couple of bulgarian online stores, shopping from foreign ones is a bit too complicated, especially shipping to bulgaria.. but however:) also i decided to stay with the barbell - it's only a 6mm stretch so a plug is not necessary anyway:)
