Captive bead rings

Summer_of_Love - 2006-07-07 19:48:29 Uhr

Is there any easy way to get the bead back on to the ring? It's driving me crazy!!! I bought a 14g CBR for my navel and I can't get the bead and thr ring together to save my life!

Easiest way is with a pair of reverse plyers.

loosen it a bit with pliers or something, but not too loose. also use rubber gloves as that helps you get a real good grip on it. practise taking the ball in and out a few times before you put it in your navel also

I use scissors...be careful though!! I just put the scissors through the ring, to just above the bit where the two scissor bits meet, then slightly open them up, just enough to open the ring a bit. Seriously, be careful though!!!

You can get the reverse plyers at Hot topic and not that expensive. In the U.S. it is $12.00.

I just line up the holes with the ring and slip it on.

i never really had too much trouble getting them on, it just takes a bit of practice. get one hole on first then slide the other up, thats always worked for me.

if your going to use scissors..use those childrens safety scissors...i mean those things still cut ya..but there supposedly safer than regular scissors..another idea might be 2 screwdrivers or other solid sticks that you could stick in an then push opposite direvctions...again though..this would have to be done one handed and would take practice...i think your best bet is the reverse pliers from hot topic.

yep, that's the easiest way, at least for me. but beads of CBRs with larger gauge are harder to put on.. youd have to apply a little force:P
