You should buy "Tapers" from a piercing supply store, you put some lubricant on it and work it through, then place the new larger jewelry in. Your piercer can do this for you.

if you have never done it before, the best way is to go to your piercer and get it done. so you will get some expirience and information and maybe the next time you are able to do it by yourself. it is not that difficult, you just have to be careful and sensible. take care, chris

There are also a number of different kinds of jewelry that have one or more tapered ends that can be used to slowly stretch a piercing up, these kinds of jewelry are often held in place with “O” rings. Be careful to not stretch any part of the piercing too thin.

or you could get it punched.. which isnt really stretching but yeah. heals quick, probably hurts heaps (i stretched mine) and they wont shrink down...which could be a bad thing if you want to take them out later... also i adivse using non plastic stretchers (from experience) they tend to grab more making it harder to push. metal ones are heavier but slide better :D if you are looking to go quite big in your stretching id consider the punching method. the piercers round here only punch up to 6mm but if your wanting to go even bigger itll make it quicker/easier

you can go to your piercer, but it is really easy to do by yourself, i just bought the taper set on painfulpleasures.com, lube up the taper and push it through, these tapers have concave ends so the jewelry fits right into the back of the taper. Just remember to take stretching slowly and never try to skip a gauge,

I was lucky i didn't have a blow out when i stretched mine... i went up 2mm in about a minute when i let a friend push, an un lubricated taper, through my lobe when i was drunk. I would not recommend this as it hurts like hell in the morning lol.
