Hey,
i need to know the starting gage for nipple and eyebrow..i wanna buy jewlery for my boyfriend and friend who have them done, but they dont know the gages and in order to buy jewlery i wanna make sure i have the right gages..can anyone tell me ?

usually they are pierced at 16-14g, but not always. you should just go back to the piercer and they will tell you

ok the gage needs to be a 16 at first but got mine done with a 14 gage neddle so they need a 14 gage or it will hurt if its bigger than that for the first gage

it's not about the pain its about what is pleasing to the eye. you can start with any gauge. a 16 or a 14 are standard though. starting with bigger than that will not look right and going down to an 18 ga would damage the piercing and leave horrible scarring.

That's a really difficult question, because there is more than one size possible.
Most Piercings are 14ga, but it's also possible to start with 12ga, 10ga or 16ga.
I think the best solution is you go with your friend to a studio, they will know what size is used.

Nipple guages are decided by the size of the nipple. Most men can't get their nipples pierced any bigger than an 18g-16g. The largest a nipple could get would probably be a 10g and that usually only works for women due to men having smaller nipples (generally). This information only applies if the piercing is done correct though as in through the nipple not the aureola (sp) which is a mistake many piercers make. The smallest would be an 18g though. The only way to tell is to see the jewellery. Women's nipples usually start at a 14g/12g but can also start at a 18g/16g it really depends on what the piercer is comfortable doing.
So nipples depend entirely on the body and the piercer. Nothing to do with what is pleasing to the eye or how much it'd hurt.
Eyebrow? That could be almost anything. The most common would be 14g but they can be done at a 16g up to a 10g. 10g is very uncommon. But buy a 14g piece of jewellery it would probably fit well. If it is a 12g then it will fit but the hole might shrink down to the size of the jewellery meaning that they wouldn't be able to get the 12g piece of jewellery back in (well,not without a little pain anyways).

I think 18gg is much to small for a nipple piercing, because it bears a i high risc of injury when the piercing gets entangled with the clothes. In this case i think a 14gg is better.
