Hiding Septum PiercingBrandy - 2004-08-26 18:46:51 Uhr
I'm thinking about getting my septum pierced. But with my job's dress code I am not allowed to have any visible piercings. I really want other facial piercings over this one but I can settle for it since it would look good on me and it can be hidden. I'm wondering if anyone has any problems with the piercing being visible even with a retainer. From my understanding the piercing is so far up that it should not be but I still need to make sure because I cannot afford to lose my job over it. I'm sure they'd only make me take it out but I still don't want to waste having to go through the soreness and not being able to keep it. I know only 2 people who have their's pierced and their noses are small so when they have their retainers in you cannot tell they are pierced. My nose is a little larger and my nostrils are a little higher up than the middle part. So this is the only reason it concerns me.
Thanks

you dont even need a retainer.. all you need is a horseshoe ring and you can slip it up when you go to work. you cant see it.. i hid mine from my boyfriend for 3 weeks, so yeah hope that helped you out a bit

I've had my septum pierced for the past 2 years and noone at worked has noticed. I just wear a retainer (usually black) that hugs the septum wall without being uncomfortable. 'tis probably the easiest facial piercing to hide! As for other facial piercings, I am able to hide my labret when I need to, but being a guy I do have the advantage of dissimulating the jewelry with my goatie, for example ... otherwise, girls would have to wait for the piercing to heal before considering taking it out for work, but you have to keep in mind that many facial piercings close up really fast once the jewelry has been taken out.
