So, I wear barbells in my 12g ear ring holes, there are 3 of them. Well, I work now, and my boss doesn't like barbells, so I bought some plugs. I went to put the plugs in, but it was really hard to get them in, they were all 12g and I ended up having to painfully force them in. Is that normal that a plug and a barbell are not the same size? Also, I don't know if it's because I had to force it in or because what it's made out of (never have had a problem before) but the one hole that I kept the barbell in is frequently bleeding and pussing, is that odd?

they may have a fractional difference, what i have found is that different suppliers have differnt measurements (its wierd) remeasure the barbells and plugs to find out.
to address your ear pussy,
you want to get yourself some cleaning solution or make your own (use tea tree as this dries piercings quickly and helps the skin to grow back) no more than 12 drops to a pint thou, or somewound wash (a weak one)
clean it twice daily, moisten tne area then using only kitchen paper remove the discharge (stopping it blocking), the turn the jewellery allowing the soluytion to get in to clean the area, pat dry, go to your g.p as a precaution against infection before it has time to set in!!
