I really want to get my tongue done but my mom spent a lot on braces and says if I get my tongue done I owe her 5 grand because it will just ruin and chip my teeth. Is there jewelry that wont chip my teeth?

PTFE jewelry it's a softer jewelry thats flexable many people who play sports use these.

acrylic and PTFE jewerly are good for preventing chipped teeth..... www.bodyartforms.com has a good selection of those types of jewerly..... as far as researching PTFE jewerly goes, all i can tell ya is to search the internet.... bodyartforms has some info about them........
also that, if you get your tounge done, after it heals up, you can change the balls out for some acrylic ones while keeping the steel shaft..... the acrylic balls are really easy on teeth, and dont hurt near as much if you do happen to bite down on them on accident..........
also, you can get different colored acrylic, so thats another plus.....
