I'm 13, and am wanting my tongue pierced. How old do you have to be for that? I've heard different stories. My friend is 13 and has her tongue pierced. It was done by our local shop. But, is that too young for a piercing like that?

Its 16 to get anythhing pierced without your parents there

Sometimes younger people want to do things that older people are only allowed to do with good reason...Like drive a car, and smoke, and drink and tattoo and pierce. I think you should wait to get your tonge pierce. Wait till you are of legal age and then get it done if you want.
I'm not for tongue piercing at all though, It causes muscle damage, I've been all sorts of pierced and the tongue muscle is not something that I'm willing to risk destroying.

my dear i dont think that when u are 13 that u really know what u want, trust me ive changed so much from when i was 13
going from gothic to an all around good student with honours and no more criminal record and such
i have mine done and i was 17 i was 14 when i got my belly button done and 17 when ig ot it done again
i was also 18 when i got my nipples pierced so im not sure u know what uy really really want.
sleep on it until u re least 14

Hi there, to me if you want your tounge piered then go ahead and get it done! Plus a piercing can always be takin out unlike a tattoo u can't remove! so go ahead and get it done! Also my friends mom dose piercings and her mom done hers when she was in 3rd grade and dose not regreat it and niether do i! ilove my tounge ring and i think i made the right choice when i got mine do at 14! My brother is getting his done in a couple weeks for his 13 brithday!! Goo ahead it fun to have and dose not hurt!!

I don;t know where you live but out here only one studio will do it at 14 and that is with a parent anywhere else out here you have to be 16 with a parent
