I am not sure how many of you have visited this site but it is awesome. Not sure what you want done next..read up on some of their stories and see if it is right for you..just remember..everyone's pain tolerance is very different. I know that all the work I have had done people say that it hurts but I haven't had that experience. My inner upper thigh ink was the worst I have ever had as far as pain goes. I was warned though beofre the artist started that it was going to be painful.

I agree BME is a great site, well known among body mod fans!!

I just don't get the extreme mods...now they look painful beyond what I would want anyway. The genital ones made me want to reall cry. Ouch!!
An open letter to BMERaftiInstitute - 2005-11-28 11:54:44 Uhr
BME is great because of all the material that people donate to it. BME is bad because of all the biased or just plain wrong information that Mr. Shannon Larratt gives out. In an open debate I am the one who is helpful, open minded, and willing to do a proper study.
This is an open letter daring Mr. Larratt to an un-censored debate on neutral ground- here on piercing.com! I tried doing things Mr. Larratts’ way and he just wouldn’t relay anything worthwhile out of the 50 pages of written communication that I sent him, or the 300+ pages that constitute the “Body Piercing Encyclopedia”- I don’t know about you but I hate bigots that waste other peoples time, it’s long overdue for this industry to outgrow the “high school games” that have resulted in pierced people being treated like second class citizens by employers and the mainstream.

"BME is bad because of all the biased or just plain wrong information that Mr. Shannon Larratt gives out."
If you are going to make accusations, back it up with truth or examples. What "just plain wrong" information have you received?
"it’s long overdue for this industry to outgrow the “high school games” that have resulted in pierced people being treated like second class citizens by employers and the mainstream."
Have you read any of the articles on that site?
Sure, BME has some stories and pictures of people doing idiotic things, but it is a site to document body modification of the time. I am one of the experience reviewers and we are not going to deny an experience because they pierced their lip using a rusty nail found on the floor in the garage or stretched a piercing by shoving a screwdriver through it. BME is a time capsule-it shows the good and the bad of what is taking place in the Modification community right now.
