Alright I'm dying from some ink but not so much for the pain so in your expert opinion what would hurt more the lower back or upper back like top of spinal cord, I know they'll both hurt because of the spine but yeah advice please!!

To my mind it ever hurts most, wenn the tattoo is over the spine or other bone, but at the lower back there is more connective tissue between skin and spine, so i think it wil not hurt as much as upper back.
I have two Kanji Sings at the upper spine myself, und I would say it is absolute bearalble. Some other things hurts more than a tattoo.

everyones pain tollerance is different, but i would think that it would hurt more when the needle goes over bone and less fatty areas, like what Martyn136 said

I have one between my shoulder blades and for some reason it hurt more the further away from my spine he got. The only thing I can think of was because I've had muscle and nerve damage in my back. He told me it would hurt more on my lower sides. I think it's because he was light handed and it wasn't deep enough to make bone matter. Maybe less nerve in less skin? I think it all depends on the person.

the only real gauge as too how much it will hurt you is to have a friend pin prick you in the spots you're thinking about getting the tattoo.... which ever one you feel less is going to be the place that will sting less....
personally i fall asleep during tattoos, so i'm not one to be saying that one place hurts more than another...
